Be ensured that your wood is protected against decay, rot and pests, thus extending its lifespan.

Description

Wood is a living and natural material that deteriorates in time, because of inclemency of the weather and insects and mould attack. However, wood can be treated with a preservative that improves service life under severe conditions without altering its basic characteristics. In order to preserve your wood we can offer a special high pressure vacuum treatment that protects it from insects and moulds. Depending on the technological process that is used, the guaranteed lifespan of pressure treated timber is at least 15 to 60 years.

Pressure treatment is a process of forcing preservatives deeper into the wood fibre of timber. It is sometimes also called autoclave impregnation. Usually we supply our business partners with sawn timber that is pressure treated with ecological salts like TANALITH E, which has a natural pale green coloration. TANALITH E is a waterborne product based on copper triazole technology. However, we can also deliver sawn timber treated with other preservatives. According to the request, wood can be treated to Hazard Class 2, Hazard Class 3 or Hazard Class 4.

AB Timber Group supplies pressure treated sawn timber for a broad range of end usages, because after its drying wood becomes resistant to the action of atmospheric agents and does not damage plants. This allows using pressure treated wooden products in gardens, in agriculture, in funfairs, in buildings and vineyards.

  • Pressure treatment improves sawn timber service life under severe conditions without altering its basic characteristics.
  • The most popular preservative is TANALITH E, which has a natural pale green coloration.
  • Pressure treatment does not damage plants, so pressure treated wooden products can be used in agriculture and vineyards.
